Journal Entry 4.1
Level design goals for this week:
- improving the image
- pixelart background to show proper scale
- expected player path
- moving as much text into image as possible
- shortening text
Date: 30.3.2021
Remade image in pixelart editor to show scale + added icons to make objects distinguishable.
I decided to add a bit more difficulty to the level by making the platform on the left from the switch moving, so player will have to time their shot. And I extended the lava by adding one more platform to it.
Date: 2.4.2021
Added object descriptions, player HP, camera and controlls.
I have decided to make second image for intended player path as it would clutter one image too much. One colour would be confusing, so I separated the playthrough into 3 coloured parts.
It definitely looks better than the wall of text I had in previous version. And I dont feel like there needs to be any additional text after I moved everything into images.
